VIVE Truth

We can not solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.”
― Albert Einstein

VIVE Alchemy is not a one size fits all formula that believes health can simply change with the right program, information, incentives, motivation and obedience. It’s precisely thinking that health could fit into a formula, a diet, an exercise program and a pill that has produced an epidemic of obesity, cancer, diabetes, chronic disease and inflammation. Instead, VIVE approaches people as people and not as variables; and health as an active process and not a result. We aren’t interested in pushing or pulling people through a program but starting a different conversation and teaching people of all ages how they are designed to take one step, one bite, one breath, one feeling and one thought at a time to nourish their whole-person.

VIVE does not use a carrot or a stick approach but seeks to have an honest conversation about the reality of practicing unhealthy choices and their real physical, emotional, mental, relational and financial effects. Health is not a game. Food and exercise are not points, they are choices that we make to hurt or help our bodies, hearts, minds, spirits and relationships. Perhaps, another reason health is not taken seriously is because we have disconnected it from reality, real people, truth and a real conversation; and we have reduced it to information and a computer program. VIVE Alchemy is not a program but a process that consist of three phases.

  • Phase 1 of VIVE is about creating the space and taking the time to remember the basics of how we’re all designed to simply breathe, listen, ask, look and move to nourish our whole-person. The first phase is where basics are taught and the building blocks of learning are laid. During this time, we have a lot of learning and unlearning to do.

  • Phase 2 is practicing what we learned in Phase 1 and seeing how practicing basic routines create extraordinary results.

  • Phase 3 is moving beyond our ordinary routines and any conversations about food and exercise to discover and nourish our gifts, talents and skills.

You can start VIVE by giving up

  • Give-Up whoever or whatever is telling you what you should and should not look or feel like and REST in knowing that you have all you need to figure out what’s best for you.

  • Give-Up all rules associated with food and exercise and REST in knowing that nourishing yourself will be healthier, easier and lead to looking and feeling your best.

  • Give-Up anything that uses guilt, fear, shame or pride to “motivate” you and REST in knowing that you will do what’s best for you when you know what’s best for you.

  • Give-Up plugging yourself into the “latest and greatest” diet formulas and programs and REST in knowing that your body will regulate itself when you it's properly nourished.

  • Give-Up believing that acceptance and value are determined by your body and REST in knowing that your body will reflect a heart, mind and spirit that knows it is already valuable.

  • Give-Up believing that you need accountability to perform and REST in knowing that encouragement through real community and real relationships brings out the best in you.
